Pan Seared Pork Chops with Garlic Cloves and Honey
Yields 2 servings
Ingredients:
2 bone-in pork chops, at least ¾ inch thick
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
Ground black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ jar Garlic Cloves and Honey
Small bunch of fresh thyme leaves
2-3 tablespoons unsalted butter
¼ cup white wine
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Heat a medium-sized cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season generously with kosher salt and ground black pepper on all sides.
Sear the pork chops in olive oil, browning them on both sides and the fat cap until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Once browned, add about half a jar of Garlic Cloves and Honey into the pan, scattering the whole garlic cloves around the pork chops.
Add the fresh thyme, unsalted butter, and white wine to the pan, basting the pork chops with the flavorful mixture.
Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C), about 8-12 minutes depending on thickness.
Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve the pork chops drizzled with the rich, garlicky white wine and honey sauce from the pan.
